Support for Needy Parishes & Schools
Many of our parishes and schools, while doing splendid work for the Lord, are unable to sustain themselves financially. Hence, the Cardinal's Appeal sets aside $5.5 million a year to maintain these vital institutions of faith. In so doing, we are helping the neediest in our midst and preparing future leaders for our beloved Archdiocese. The gratitude of pastors, parishioners, principals, and students for this support is made known throughout the year in countless letters and statements. Assisting them, we remind ourselves, is not only our duty but also our joy. For it is truly the work of the Lord.
