The mission of the Archdiocese of New York is to live and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The archdiocese serves 2.5 million Catholics, as well as countless others, across the New York City boroughs of Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Bronx, as well as the counties of Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan, Westchester, Ulster, Rockland, and Putnam. The Cardinal’s Annual Stewardship Appeal, a critical component of the archdiocesan mission, raises funds to sustain the various ministries, institutions, and outreach programs that serve thousands of individuals and families throughout New York.
