"Go out to others and share the good news that God, our Father, walks at our side. He frees us from anonymity, from a life of emptiness and selfishness, and brings us to the school of encounter. He removes us from the fray of competition and self-absorption, and He opens before us a path of peace. That peace which is born of accepting others, that peace which fills our hearts whenever we look upon those in need as our brothers and sisters."
- Pope Francis, September 2015
The Cardinal's Appeal supports the mission of the Archdiocese of New York, which serves its sisters and brothers at any stage and circumstance in life. The video above played before Mass from Pope Francis at Madison Square Garden during his visit to New York in September. Last year we welcomed over 37,000 new members to our Catholic family of 2.6 million, educated over 70,000 elementary and high school students, developed the faith of 91,000 religious education students, supported 97 seminarians and cared for our retired priests.
December 1st is Giving Tuesday! Please save the date to support the Cardinal's Appeal, or make a gift today.
